Albert Bracamonte Gomez, age 88, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2019, surrounded by family and close friends by his side.

He was born in Tucson, AZ, on January 30, 1931. He learned to be self-sufficient at the young age of 15. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950-1953 and was a Korean War Veteran. He began working for Magma Copper Co. in 1953 and retired after 30 years. He then worked at General Motors Proving Grounds and retired in 1997.

He married Emma Elias (deceased in 1980), and lived in Superior, AZ, his entire adult life. He is survived by 7 children, Jesus (Tito), Mary Helen, Mary Christine (Tina), Edward, Roy, Mark, and Emma, 24 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

In 1981, Albert married Bertha Ramirez-Tovar (deceased in 2006) who had 5 adult children: Ernest, Loretta, Louie, Eldefonso (Fonso), and Juanita. Between them both, they had 3 generations of grandchildren.

Albert was passionate about spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed playing cards with his companion, Maria Hamaker and friends, and also playing bingo, visiting casinos (only when he won), hiking the annual family Picket Post climb, camping, and family gatherings. He was also skilled at carpentry, wood-working, and built the family home.
