Alfonso (Chito) Benitez (63), a son, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away on November 6, 2021 due to heart complications.

Alfonso was born March 6, 1958 in Ray, Arizona. He was the son of Al (Poncho) Benitez, Nelly (Munoz) Benitez and Mary (Chacon) Benitez. Alfonso served in the Navy as a Gunners Mate Technician on the carriers USS Henderson and USS John Paul Jones from 1979 to 1983. He loved to spend his time fishing and hunting and was an avid rock collector with his four legged friend Benny.

Alfonso is preceeded in death by parents Al (Poncho) Benitez, Nelly (Munoz) Benitez, and Mary (Chacon) Benitez; siblings Jessica Varelas, Alfred Benitez, and Henry Benitez.

Alfonso is survived by his wife Nancy (Gonzales) Benitez, daughter Felicia (Fernando) Noriega, Ruben (Cindy) Benitez, and bonus Malena (Johnny) Pizano, Amanda (Ronnie) Huffman, Miguel (Ruby) Dorame,; sisters Debbie, Linda, and Terry Benitez; Melissa, Marty and Brian Richey. He has 12 grandkids and 6 great-grandkids.
