Alfonso Q. Lopez passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026 after a battle with cancer. He was born in Tucson, Arizona on March 16, 1935. He lived in the Hayden-Winkelman-Dudleyville area all his life. He served in the US Air Force and worked at Kennecott Copper in Hayden, Arizona.

Also known as Poncho and Tata Poncho. He is survived by the love of his life Beva of 69 years. They raised 5 children; Rena (Mark), Debbie (Manuel), Tina (Santiago), Frank (Helene) and Chito (Laura). He had 16 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. He was proceeded in death by two great grandchildren, Andrew and Jax.

He enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved dancing, hunting, fishing, and camping. He also loved the Diamond Backs.
