Alfred S.Sanchez, 72, passed away peacefully at his home in Superior, on Saturday, June 10, 2023. Alfred was born on October 1, 1950 in Patagonia, AZ. to Raul and Catalina Sanchez. He moved to Superior as a kid and graduated from Superior High School in 1969. After graduation, he became a Miner, and worked in the industry for 30 years before retiring.

Alfred was die hard sports fan. The Arizona Cardinals, University of Arizona Wildcats, the Phoenix Suns, and Arizona Diamondbacks were his favorite teams. Whenver a game was on, you would find Alfred cheering his teams while wearing his favorite jerseys. Alfred also spent 10 years coaching Superiors youth with the Superior Little League. Many to this day still refer to him as "Coach." As a Father, Tata, and Uncle, he was always there to support his family. His grandchildren were a point of pride for Alfred as he always attended games and collected "picture buttons" year after year from his grandkids.

Alfred is survived by his wife of 51 years, Susan Sanchez, 4 children Brian, Jessica, Toni (Steve Lopez), and Corrine Sanchez. Alfred is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and siblings Frank Sanchez, Connie Bogenschutz, Lucy Fritz and numerous nieces and nephews.
