Our beloved Alfredo D. Moreno passed away on February 22, 2026, in his home at the age of 91. He was born in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico on April 6, 1934, to Josefa and Isaac Moreno. He moved to Claypool, AZ in 1954 and lived the rest of his life there with his wife, Carolina and his family.

Alfredo worked at the Inspiration Consolidated/Cyprus copper mine, beginning in 1954 as a mason. He also held the positions of union steward, union president, and foreman before retiring in 1992. He was a Fourth Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Council #1882. He loved to sing and was a member of the mariachi group Trio Cristal. He also loved to dance. He and his wife would often dance to Mexican music in the living room on the weekends along with their children.

Alfredo was a loving husband to his wife Carolina for 66 years. They were married in 1959. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was very happy when he found out he was going to be a great-great-grandfather this year.

Alfredo was preceded in death by his parents, his beautiful son Gustavo, all his brothers and sisters, and his great-grandson, Jaxon. He is survived by his wife Carolina, his children, Maria (Rob) Hill, Alfred (June) Moreno, Cristina Moreno, Felix Moreno, Gerardo Moreno, Edwiges (Michael) Guadiana, and René Moreno. He and Carolina also raised four grandchildren as their own children – Gabryel, Merceydes, Christopher, and Lesseñia. He is also survived by 13 other grandchildren (17 in total), 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and his nieces and nephews.

His love for his family, his personal discipline, and his steadfast guidance will always be remembered by those who knew and loved him.

Services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Our Lady Of The Blessed Sacrament in Miami, AZ, with The Holy Rosary at 9:30 AM, followed by Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow the Mass at the Pinal Cemetery in Central Heights, AZ.
