Angela Monique Hernandez, age 42, was called to Heaven on Sunday, August 21, 2022 in Superior, AZ. Angela was born on December 9, 1979 to Enrique (Henry) Hernandez and Loretta Duarte Saenz.

Angela was lovingly known as 'Roach' by everyone who loved her. Her big brother Henry gave her that ridiculous name, but she loved it. If you were Angela's friend or someone she loved dearly, then you also got a nickname from her. As for our dad, she gave him her own special nickname 'Conejo' and even got him a little rabbit trinket to put in his car. Her nicknames for others were not always appropriate, but funny. She was fierce. She definitely could hold her own in smack talking. She was strong. Her brother, Raymond, would always tell her she was 10 Vatos Strong. She was compassionate. Despite her troubles and sorrow, she gave you her all to help you work through your struggles. She was social like her momma. If you were on Angela's daily or weekly call cycle, then you were special to her.

Angela lived in Superior most of her life with her best friend and Mom, Big Red and later followed our mom to Evanston, WY. Angela was heartbroken when our mom passed and her smile was never the same. Her love for her kids kept her going. She loved being a mother and her kids were her everything. She didn't have much, but she gave them so many fun memories and experiences.

Angela's faith in God was her foundation in her life. Although she was not feeling well on the day of her passing, she made sure to wake up and go to church. She loved God as she loved everyone in her life – unconditionally, fiercely, and wholeheartedly. Her generous soul made her the most giving person. If you were lucky to get a hug from her, then you felt the love she had for you. Angela was a great hugger.

Angela is survived by her four children: Guillermo Huerta, Loretta Hernandez, Bertha Hernandez, and Isaiah Hernandez; her Dad Henry (Deanna) Hernandez; Siblings: Henry Hernandez, Catherine (Robert) Sommer, Jason Hernandez, Raymond Hernandez, Christopher (Tamika) Hernandez, Joseph Hernandez, Aimee (Tommy) Newsome and Apryl (Jonas) Hunter; and over 50 nieces and nephews; numerous aunt and uncles.
