Annie "Jane" McGaughey was born on February 12, 1933 in Oney, Oklahoma to her wonderful parents William and Euna Rich. She passed away peacefully on December 7, 2019 in Claypool, Arizona. Annie, or Jane as most knew her, was a very loving and caring person and a devout christian. She loved sewing and was an amazing seamstress. She often would make clothing for her children and quilts to help the homeless. Many children in the neighborhood would seek refuge in her home where she was always very warm and had a very friendly nature. She loved to be around her children and their friends and would often take them swimming, to play volleyball, softball and would just have a great time until the sun came down. Then of course after a long and wonderful day the children would often stay the night and have slumber parties. Annie was very involved with the people of her community and even received an award for helping run the local food and clothing bank. She also helped to organize the lunch program at the Central Heights Baptist Church where they are still running her program and still serving meals to this day. Her warm and caring nature will surely be missed by all who knew and loved her dearly.

Annie is preceded in death by her parents William and Euna, 11 siblings, and 3 great grandchildren. She is survived by her children Gwen Carroll, Kathy Fronterhouse, and William Michael McGaughey, her brother Wensel Rich and her sister Helen Day. She is also survived by her 34 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many other children from the community who loved her and were also her family.
