Antonia "Tonia" S. Romero, of Hayden, AZ, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 in Oro Valley Arizona. She was 90 years old.

Antonia was born on October 9, 1929 in Hayden, AZ to loving parents Jesus and Josefa (Bravo) Santa Maria. She grew up with 7 siblings, her brothers Frank "Kili", Jesus, David, and Richard, and sisters Mercedes "Cheli" Miranda, Lupe Carranza, and Josephine Carrasco.

Antonia married Manuel Romero. They had 4 children, Lisa Ochoa, Pat (Mary) Romero, Ramon (Carol) Romero, Mario (Amy) Romero, Sr. She also has 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Antonia was an avid gardener, an incredible cook, storyteller and had a great sense of humor. She was a prayer warrior and devout catholic.

Antonia is preceded in death by her parents Jesus and Josefa Santa Maria, her husband Manuel Romero, sisters Lupe Carranza, Josephine Carrasco, and brothers David, Jesus, and Richard Santa Maria. She is survived by her brother Frank, sister Cheli, children Lisa, Pat, Ramon, and Mario. She will be greatly missed.
