Antonio Rivas Guerrero, age 97, of Globe, Arizona passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 21, 2020.He was born in Gallup, New Mexico on April 28, 1923 the son of Donanciano and Ysidra (Rivas) Guerrero.

He was a WWII veteran of the 362nd Army Infantry serving in the European Theater (Italy) and received several campaign medals. He worked for Southern Railroad Pacific after the war, then moved his family to Globe to work for Inspiration Consolidated Copper Co. as a Track Foreman in 1960 until retirement.

He enjoyed traveling, was a friend to all he met, but above all else he loved his family.

He is preceded in death by his wife Artemisa and his son Danny Guerrero.

Antonio is survived by his children Tony Guerrero (Cruz) Tucson AZ, Linda Guerrero of Globe AZ, Yolanda Bird (Keith) Tucson AZ, Norma Caldera (Eddie) Globe AZ, Bettina Amado (Eddie Godoy) St. George UT, Cathy Guerrero (Danny's spouse) Claypool AZ, and Orlando Guerrero (Reena) Globe AZ; his stepchildren Eva Warden of Globe AZ, Marvella Gallardo (Gary) Phoenix AZ, Rene Velasco (Yolanda) Miami AZ, Ruben Velasco (Donna) Phoenix AZ, Juan Velasco (Linda) Phoenix AZ, Mario Velasco (Ginger) San Leandro CA, Ernie Velasco (Sharon) Phoenix AZ; and a myriad of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
