Arthur "Tudy" Canizales passed away peacefully at the age of 83, on 12 January 2026.  He was born on July 19, 1942, in Miami, Arizona, to Jesus and Fidela Canizales.
Arthur attended Miami schools, where he was a proud member of the track team.  After graduating, he served his country honorably in the U.S. Army for two years in the artillery division.  During his service, he would cut hair to earn extra money to send home to his family – a reflection of his dedication to his loved ones.
After his military service, Arthur earned an apprenticeship to become a pipefitter.  Upon completion he spent 40 plus years working in the copper mines of Miami Arizona.  He also spent time making additional money working as a bartender in town and would have to sample the beer to ensure it was of the best quality.
Arthur was a devoted family man who cherished time with his grandchildren.  He enjoyed hunting, welding, and devoted a considerable amount of time tending to the family plots in all the cemeteries in Globe Miami.  He would often craft beautiful distinctive wrought iron fencing adorned with hearts – each one a tribute to his deep love for family.
Arthur was a generous man giving of his time helping family, friends and strangers.  When Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament needed to have the bell installed in the steeple everyone directed them to Tudy.  Without hesitation he gathered his friends together and they got the bell installed with nothing more than a thank you. The bell will ring for generations to come.
He was preceded in death by his parent, Jesus "Chuy" and Fidela Canizales; brothers Gilbert, Raul, and Johnny Canizales; and sisters Angie Canizales, Delores Canizales, Belia Goana, Esther Montaverde, Betty Valencia, and Margie Garcia.
Arthur is survived by his loving wife, Esperanza "Espie" Canizales; his sister, Pauline Fernandez; his children Maria Julia, Arthur, Richard and Antonio (Sheena) Canizales; and his beloved grandchildren, Spencer (Amanda) Canizales, Cruz Canizales, and Illianna Canizales.
Arthur will be fondly remembered for his strong work ethic, kind spirit, and the love and care he showed to everyone around him.  His legacy will continue to live on through the family and friends who loved him dearly.
