Aurora Rivera Ruiz age 92, of Superior, AZ passed away on February 26, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Aurora was born in Glendale, AZ on October 16, 1932. She moved to Superior, AZ with her family when her father obtained employment with the mine.

Aurora met her husband Manuel Ruiz Jr. while attending High School. They were married in 1952 and just celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary on September 5, 2024. Aurora attended Arizona State University and earned a Bachelors in Education. She taught in Superior Schools for many years. As a woman of faith, a devoted Christian, she chose to live a life of meaningful acts of love and service, like Christ modeled for us.

Aurora has been preceded in death by her parents Jose and Casimira Rivera and all 8 of her siblings. She is survived by her loving husband Manuel, her children Marcella (Larry), James (Patti), Jo (Robbie), Janice (Ruben), and  Jocelyn (Fred) and her adopted daughter Valerie, 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
