In memory of Carmen M. Salazar, age 76 was born November 8, 1947, to Manuel and Mary Lou Mendoza in Superior, Arizona. Carmen went to school in Superior and was a lifetime active and devout parishioner of her Catholic Church in Superior, Arizona. She served forty years as the Religious Education Teacher, Served as a Girl Scout leader. Her family remembers fondly that her seamstress skill produced beautiful ceremonial dresses. Even some of the dresses were even worn to visit the Pope of the Catholic Church.

Carmen met and married her loving husband, Joe Salazar. Their loving relationship of forty years through life together they have had 12 children. Her family praises her great cooking and singing too, in the choir at the church. Joe and Carmen together raising and teaching their children, faith, hard work and patriotism has left a long-lasting legacy of kindness, caring and hope in this community that they chose to live out their life together.

Carmen was preceded in death by her beloved parents: Manuel and Mary Lou Mendoza, and their beloved son Sergeant Omar Trevino and Robert Salazar.

Carmen is survived by her loving husband: Joe Salazar, her children: Yvonne Rutledge, Jenny Ramirez, Joe Salazar, Chris Salazar, Roman (Rachel) Salazar, Richard (Rose) Salazar, Monica Salazar, Leticia Biddle, Anna Montijo and Jesus Salazar. They have 48 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and her favorite brother Louis Mendoza and her sister: Elisa Mendoza. She is remembered fondly by her family, church, community and will be sorely missed by all who know her and her loving family.
