Globe, Az-Carol Lee Jones, age 79, passed away on Sunday, March 1st at Haven of Globe.

Carol was a long-time resident of the Globe-Miami area as well as had lived in Coolidge for a short-while.

Carol was a loving and sweet mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved people, always being friendly and welcoming to everyone she met. Carol had an amazing love for nature and animals, always taking in stray animals, including injured and abandoned chipmunks. Her sense of humor, laughter and contagious smile would brighten everyone's day.

Carol is survived by her son, Marvin A. Jones and daughter -in -law, Tammy Jones of Flagstaff; her grandchildren (Christopher Jones, Brittany Jones-Maxton and Courtney Jones) and her great-grandson, Hudson Maxton. Carol is also survived by her brother, Edwards Gerdes and sister, Nelda Gerdes of Globe; as well as Melva Archer of Coolidge. Carol loved all her family immensely, including all her brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, and extended families.
