Obituary

CARYL JUNE ERB

Caryl June Erb, 99, of Globe passed away on October 13, 2026. Caryl was born in Portage, Wisconsin on June 27, 1927 to Clifford and Lucille Broderick. She grew up in Wisconsin alongside her sister and brother until the family relocated to Phoenix, Arizona.

She met the love of her life, Eddie Erb, in December of 1947 while the two worked for Valley National Bank. They had a whirlwind courtship and were married on March 20, 1948. Shortly after getting married, Eddie was drafted into the army and he and Caryl were stationed in Germany. While in Germany, they were able to travel throughout Europe and enjoyed their time there.

Caryl lived in the Globe/Miami area for over 70 years and made many treasured friends there. She always enjoyed being a part of a close knit community and a member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church congregation.

Although Eddie and Caryl had no children of their own, all who knew them knew of their love for all their four-legged “children” (dogs) over the years. However, they were very close to Caryl’s sister’s family and adored their niece and nephews and their extended families.

Caryl is preceded in death by her beloved husband Eddie of 62 years, her sister Joan (Cliff) Zehr, brother Jim (Kay) Broderick and her dear friend, Ken Hein. She is survived by her nephews, Andrew and Matthew (Valerie) Zehr; niece, Lisa Bowen, and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
