Christopher Rabago was born on May 3, 1970.  The second child of Andy and Dolly Rabago.  Chris had 3 siblings, Ann, Pat and Rene.

Chris enjoyed life.  He truly was a happy person.  He enjoyed being outdoors and going for rides in the back of the truck or on the 4 -wheeler.  He enjoyed soda, ice chips from the freezer floating in his cup.  He enjoyed being in his chair and would insist that you sit down if he saw you standing.  Though he spoke few words, he said a lot with his actions. He even enjoyed doing chores like raking, feeding goats and gathering eggs from the chickens.

Chris loved playing games and pretending.  He liked playing shooting games where his finger was an imaginary gun.  A gun that when fired was usually have an aftershock of Chris's laughter.  He enjoyed playing cards and somehow always managed to win!  Speaking of winning he also loved scratching lottery tickets!

Like his Dad, he was also a prankster.  He really got a kick out of scaring people with his arms in the air and a loud "rawr!" sound out of nowhere!  We all knew to be careful if we walked by him, because he was know to give a quick smack to your butt followed by his genuine laughter!

Chris loved fighting with his Uncle Robert and his brother Rene!  Though these fights were never mean spirited, we would all laugh, when Chris would land a good one leaving his Uncle or brother saying "okay, okay, okay, no more!" Come to think of it his Dad said that a few times too!

Chris loved his Dad.  He loved wearing his Dad's watch and hats.  He loved sunglasses too, and would often, very ninja-like, take sunglasses from family members and put them on! He loved singing and often played guitar while singing! He really loved music.  He enjoyed dancing and smiling with everyone.  His mom could always be heard in the background saying "Come on Papi let's go!  Woo-hoo!"  while they were dancing and singing together.  Chris was very helpful too.  He did not let his disability get in the way of being helpful.  He enjoyed helping put away groceries, stacking paper towels and helping store away can goods.

Chris loved his nieces and nephews, and we all took turns shaking his hand.  He really liked to shake hands.  One thing Chris didn't like was a mess.  He hated messes!  We loved watching him open presents because he would pause and make us pick up any wrapper that hit the floor and throw it away before he finished, very meticulously opening his present.  This was a long process!

Chris, always thought he was the boss, his siblings would say.  The rest of us knew better, we didn't think he was the boss, we knew he was the boss.

Chris was close with God.  Together with his mom, they would pray.  "Pray to your Sainties" His mom would say, "in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, Amen" His lips would pucker, and he would kiss his hand or rosary.

His life and longevity was a testament to the care he received at home.  Though many of us, especially his siblings, had our share of making sure Chris was ok, his parents were the daily presence that gave Chris such a good life.  In February of 2017, God called Chris's Dad, Andy, home to Heaven.  Dolly took on the role of both parents from then on.  Dolly, you have been his advocate, his voice, for over 50 years; on behalf of the family, we thank you for everything you have done for your son, Chris.

Days before his passing, Chris shared a few moments with his loved ones.  In his own way, letting us know he would be ok.  As his mom and siblings stood around his bed, his sister playfully said "Don't come back and scare your brother!"  Just then he let out one of his signature "rawrs!"  and scared everyone!  The room was filled with laughter and amazement.

On the morning of September 2, 2023, God called Christopher Rabago home to Heaven.

Chris loved to smile and laugh.  His laugh was contagious.  His smile was infectious.   His "besos" or kisses were plenty. His love was everything.  He loved us, and we love him, always.

Christopher is survived by his mother, Teresa (Dolly) Rabago, siblings; Ann (Chano) Romero, Patricia (Jesse) Camarena, Rene (Shannon) Rabago, many nieces and nephews.

Mass Services will be held, Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 10:00AM, at St Joseph Catholic Church in Hayden, Arizona.
