Condido G. Rivera otherwise known as Conie peacefully left this life on January 30, 2020 to begin his
new one with the Angels above. He was born to Miguel and Engracia Rivera on February 2, 1932. He
was the 4th sibling of 7 children. Conie served in the Armed Forces as a Paratrooper. He was in the
military like his brothers before and after him. After the service he had jobs working in the oil fields in
Texas and Oklahoma. He came back home and started a gas station business with his mother in Miami,
AZ and that's where he got his first taste in owning a business. After the store was opened for some
years and it didn't work out he went to work at Copper Cities Mine. He also worked for Healy's
Distributing delivering beer. During this time is when he met beautiful Rachel Carcamo from Superior,
AZ and they married and had 8 wonderful children. As time went on he particularly didn't like working
for anybody and wanted to start his own business. So during the slow times he started a scrap and hay
hauling business. He would hire unemployed family and friends during these hard times to help them
out as he could. After working different jobs he finally found his niche. He started Conie and Sons Tire
Service. He had this company up until he retired in the early 1990's after he developed some health
issues. During all these years he was also a rancher with his Mom and Dad and his other siblings at the
Rivera Ranch where they grew vegetables, had cattle and pigs to help feed the community. That ranch
still exists to this day as a cattle ranch.
He is preceded in death of his immediate family his wife Rachel Rivera, sons Augie and Gilbert Rivera
and Grandson Joseph Edward Gilmore. He was a hard working man for so many years and gave that
value to his children.
He leaves behind 6 children Ruben (Angelina) Rivera of Wheatfields, Olga (Joe) Gilmore of Globe, Dorine
Rivera of Mesa, Yvonne Rivera of Wheatfields, Dolly Rivera of Mesa, Bebe (Liz) Rivera of Globe along
with 17 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, 1 brother Paul Danny (Julia)
Rivera of Globe and Lupe (Roy) Emery of Colorado, and his sister in law that was more like a sister
Josephine Rivera of California, along with many beloved nephews, nieces and wonderful friends. He will
be greatly missed by us all.
Services will be held Saturday, February 8'h, 2020 at the Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament in Miami, Az.
9:00 am to 9:30 am the viewing, 9:30 am to 10:00 am the Rosary and Mass starts at 10:00 am.
