Dolly Rivera, a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away in Chandler on
March 1, 2026, at age 64. Born on January 29, 1962, in Globe, Arizona, to Conie and
Rachel Rivera, Dolly was a proud Miami High School Vandal and a familiar face at
Safeway for over two decades. She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her love of
dancing and her unwavering devotion to her four children and eight grandchildren. Her
legacy of love and family-first values remains her greatest gift.
She possessed a rare and beautiful ability to make others feel truly seen and cared for,
a warmth that defined every life she touched. Everyone was her friend, and her love
language was expressed through giving – whether through gifts, time together, cooking
for others, she was ready to share everything she had – always ensuring that others felt
cherished.
Though there is now a profound emptiness where her vibrant spirit once stood, her
family finds comfort in the many lives she touched. She will be deeply and dearly
missed by all who knew her.
Dolly was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Conie and Rachel Rivera; her dear
brothers, Augie and Gilbert Rivera; and her sister, Olga (Joe) Gilmore, with whom she is
now reunited.
Her light lives on through her loving children, Crystal (Ryan) Schrimsher, Josh
(Jeannette) Rivera, Patrick Cordova, and Tara (Brian) Terrazas. She is also survived by
her brothers, Ruben (Angelina) Rivera and Bebe (Liz) Rivera; her sisters, Dorine and
Yvonne Rivera; and her eight treasured grandchildren—Payton, Reid, Grayson, Charlie,
Rhetton, Beckham, Brodie, and Brysen—each of whom carried a very special piece of
her heart.
