Dorothy Bernice Johnston: Born of Jay and Marjorie Sue Nelson, passed away September 30, 2019

Dorothy dedicated her life to children.  She raised four wonderful children who love her and will miss her dearly.  She was a 2 ^nd grade teacher in 1969 in a two-room school in Roosevelt, Arizona.  She welcomed Foster children into her home and taught many in her church.  She was a leader and a teacher to a lot of children in the Gila county 4-H program and was recognized at the state level for her 35 years of service.  She also taught the senior citizens for 15 years in Globe, Miami and Roosevelt as a quilt and craft instructor.

She is preceded in death by her husband LaVon and survived by her four children. Max and Karen Johnston, Donetta and Greg Loya, Barbara and Bryan Eastin and Susan Johnston.  She had 17 grandchildren and 16 Great-grandchildren.  She was the eldest of 7 children and is survived by her five brothers. Ron, Paul, Bob Philip and Don. One sister Glenna also survives her.
