Ernesto "Neto" Miranda Martinez passed away on Monday, June 15, 2020 at the age of 82 peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. Ernie was born on January 24, 1938, in Hayden, Arizona to Salvador and Guadalupe Martinez and was the youngest of six children.

Living most of his life in Hayden and graduated from Hayden High School in 1957, Ernie lettered in football and baseball and was awarded an Outstanding Athlete trophy. Ernie worked for Kennecott and ASARCO for over 40 years as a pipefitter/welder.  After retirement in 1999 he enjoyed traveling, spending time with his family and enjoying his hobbies of hunting and woodworking.

In 1960 Ernie married the love of his life Cobina Pulido and had three beautiful daughters.  Ernie was proceeded in death by his parents, brothers, sisters and his daughter Debbie Nelmida.  He is survived by his wife Cobina of 60 years; children Lorene (Ernest) Copetillo and Denise (Fred) Ostos; grandchildren Amanda and Daniella Copetillo and Stephanie, Freddy, Raquel, and Samantha Ostos and many nieces and nephews.  Ernie was truly loved and will be greatly missed by the lives that he touched.
