Frank (Chico) Martinez, 88, returned to his heavenly home on December 20, 2020. He had his beautiful wife, Rosie, by his side with his devout faith in our Lord and daily devotion to the rosary.

Frank (Chico) was born to the late Juan and Eusebia Martinez, in Winkelman, AZ, on January 21, 1932. He spent his childhood, early teen years, and adulthood helping his father as a ranch hand, a true cowboy he was. He served in the United States Army and fought in the Korean War. He was later awarded a medal of gratitude from the Korean government.

Frank married his soulmate, Rosie Baldenegro, on September 28, 1957. Their love story is the foundation of their family. They embodied true love, faith, hope, and all that is good. They were blessed with a large, loving family. Together, they raised six children, who blessed them with
grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Frank worked for 35 years at Kennecott and Asarco. He retired in 1993 and enjoyed spending his time with his growing family. He continued to enjoy his cowboy life by helping his cousins and friends whenever they needed him. He looked forward to hunting and visiting camp with his grandkids, as well as supporting them in sports and other activities.

Frank (Chico) was a compassionate, generous, kind, loving man. He was loved and respected by not only his family, but his entire community. He was humble, but he was also proud, his greatest pride was his family. He was the best Tata, truly one of a kind. His love was a love that will forever live in our hearts, it was that special.

Frank is survived by his wife, Rosie; his children Rose Mary (Andy Martinez), Frank (Beverly), Joey, Georgina, Barbara (Johnny Vega), and Cecilia (Ruben Lopez); 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; his brothers Edward (Sara), John (Adeline), and his sister Genevieve (Alfonso Lopez); numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother, Eusebia Martinez; his father, Juan Martinez; his sisters, Mary, Ramona, and Annie; his granddaughter, and his great-granddaughter.
