Gerald John Klein - "Jerry" Born 11-1-26 passed away peacefully on February 18, 2020 at 93 years old having just celebrated his 73rd wedding anniversary with Mom, Leona Ellis Klein who still resides in Mesa, AZ. Survived by daughter Linda Klein Swartz and Roger Swartz, son Larry Klein and Karen Klein, Laurie Klein Fields and Wayne Fields and LuAnn Klein, six Grandkids Kelly, Sara Kara Kaitlyn Chris and Shelby, and 12 Great Grands, Riley, Ryan, Regan, Ayla, Anna, Tommy, Charlie, Soshana, Lily, Leo, Stella and Levi. From our entire family we appreciate the well wishes and prayers over the years as Dad's final years were certainly challenging. Dad was born in Lake County Indiana and our parents were married on February 15, 1947. Dad worked for Cities Service in East Chicago when they moved into the Globe-Miami Arizona community in December 1972. He switched careers and took a job at the then Pinto Valley Copper Mine as a safety engineer. He loved playing golf (especially if it was cheap), bowled and would drive you anywhere you wanted to go. (Loved driving and racing). He often played golf at the Cobre Valley golf course in his retirement years. He was a frequent parishioner at Holy Angel's Catholic Church in Globe and loved him some Dick's Broasted Chicken in Miami AZ. Everyone will have their own special memories of Dad. I just know that every day that Dad drove to work here in Arizona he would marvel at the surrounding beauty and say "I should be paying them." RIP Dad - your loving family.
