Gloria Mae Stambaugh passed away peacefully on December 26, 2021, surrounded by family. Gloria was born to Lawrence Bushell and Irene Payne in Tucson, Arizona on August 6, 1936.

Gloria grew up in Gila Bend, Arizona.  She graduated as the 1954 high school valedictorian.  She then attended and graduated from Arizona State University in 1958 from the School of Education.  While in college, she met and married William M. Stambaugh, an agronomy major.  Gloria followed Bill from farm to farm until they settled permanently on Aravaipa Creek where they established the San Pedro River farms.  They farmed, ranched and raised five children over the next 60 years.

Gloria's teaching career spanned over 20 years in the Mammoth and Kearny elementary and junior high schools.

Gloria is survived by her five children: Debby and husband Dennis DeGraff; Becky and husband Jeff Heller; Billie and husband Gary Deen; Grace and David.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
