Gloria Arvizu-Thompson, age 74, of Superior Az, passed away peacefully in her home on Dec 14, 2021.  She was born in Superior Az on Aug. 4, 1947. Gloria was a beautician/hair stylist for 15 years, and later married Eliga Thompson Jr. Oct 27, 1979. They lived in Chandler Arizona, where they owned & operated Primavera Landscape & Design Inc. for 20 years.

Gloria received her bachelor's degree from ASU Class of 1986. Inspired by Frida Kahlo, she went on to become a talented and inspiring Artist. Over the Years her art work was displayed in several Local exhibits throughout Arizona, with her favorite being the Vision Gallery annual Dia de los Muertos art exhibit in the Chandler Az. Gloria also volunteered her time teaching art classes for youth programs with the ICAN center and The Boys & Girls Clubs of America in Chandler AZ . She was inspiring, admired, and loved by many friends and family

Gloria is survived by: Husband of 48 years, Eliga Thompson Jr.; daughters, Michele & Angela Peralta; grandchildren, Jarell C Moss, Justin D Willis, Justice D. Askey, and Avion D. Stephens; great-grandchildren, Mia Lyric Drake, Lucian T. Moss, Gianna E. Willis, and Nikko A. Higgins; sisters, Maria Gomez, Elouise Medina, and Christina Arvizu and brother Angel Arvizu.
