Guillermo G. Hernandez better known as "Billy" peacefully went home to our Lord at the age of 70 on Monday, November 7, 2022 at Banner (U of A) Medical Center, Tucson, AZ.

Billy as was born on January 3, 1952 to Antonio and Esperanza Hernandez at St. Joseph's Hospital in Nogales, AZ. Billy graduated from Hayden High School with the class of 1970 as Salutatorian. He continued his education graduated from Central Arizona College in 1972 and in 1978 from the University of Arizona with B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering.

He worked six summers with ASARCO as a student employee during the school summer breaks and finally was hired full time after graduating from the U of A. He had a change of career in 1988 and received HVAC Electrical Training diploma from Refrigeration School, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ. During this time he was nominated to be included in the 1988 edition of WHO'S WHO IN NATIONALLY ACCREDETED PRIVATE CAREER SCHOOLS.

Billy enjoyed watching the news and western movies on TV and reading the Sunday newspaper and his guitar and Santana magazines.

The love of his life was playing the guitar and his collection of different guitars, magazines and figurines during the 1970's. He was a member of the band group The Leaves of Grass, playing for local school dances and parties. He enjoyed Carlos Santana music and collected CD's and albums from around the world. He also collected pictures and books on Carlos Santana. His other bobby was collecting PT Cruisers cars having half a room filled up and collected pictures of Our Lady of Guadalupe and statues of every size.

He is preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Esperanza Hernandez, three month baby brother Guillermo I and his nephew Paul Baez Jr.

He leaves behind his sister and brother-in-law Gloria and Steve (Moe) Beltran, of Kearny, AZ. His son Fernando Hernandez of Seattle, WA. Nieces and nephews Dolores and Toby Tippetts, Alejandro, Marissa and Veronica Baeza from Kearny, AZ and Gerardo "Gerry" Beltran of West Covina, CA.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 9:00am, Rosary at 9:30 and Mass at 10:00am at the Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church, Kearny, AZ. Final resting place will be at Mountain View Cemetery, Hayden, AZ. The family welcomes family and friends for a luncheon at the Elks Lodge 2478, Kearny, AZ.
