Our beloved brother James Lee Taylor 78 passed away on October 22, 2023 of natural causes. James was born August 14, 1945 to Wilbur James Taylor Sr. and Sylvia Faye Taylor in Orange California. The family of 5 Dad, Mom, James (Lee), Donna and Nancy moved to Mammoth Arizona in 1957, 2 more brothers Wilbur Jr. (Bill) and Robert soon joined the family. James was predeceased by Dad and Mom, his beloved wife Mildretha of 40 years the love of his life who passed away August 23, 2008.

Lee and Mildretha were blessed with one daughter Leighann who passed away December 11, 2014. He was also predeceased by his sister Donna Johnston March 5, 2008. Lee will be greatly missed by his sister Nancy, who was with him to the end. Brothers Robert Taylor, Bill Taylor (Mary), Brother-in-law Ken Johnston. Nephews: Kevin Johnston, Jeremy Johnston, Marc Taylor, Wilbur Taylor III & Robert Lee Taylor. Nieces: Cecilia Rouse & Christy Bentley.

James attended elementary schools in California until the move to Mammoth. He attended Mammoth Elementary School then San Manuel High School in the 60's. He also attended Central Arizona College Aravaipa Campus.

James retired from the maintenance department of Mammoth San Manuel School District 8 in 2016 with 38 years of service. He was known by all as Mr. Lee. In his earlier working years he operated his own auto service station in the late 60's and early 70's until the oil embargo. He also worked for Boyles Brothers & Longyear drilling mineral test core samples in Arizona and New Mexico.

Lee had many hobbies in his life including, ham radio's, computers, watching You Tube videos, fishing and camping out with his wife and daughter, woodworking and going for automobile rides.

Lee loved to laugh and joke! We are going to miss that so very much!!
