Joseph "Joe" Baltierra

In Loving Memory of Joe Q. Baltierra June 5, 1958 – July 26, 2026

Joe Q. Baltierra, 68, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026 surrounded by family and friends leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a family who loved him deeply. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Baltierra Sr. and Mary Q. Baltierra. He is survived by his devoted wife, Vivian; his loving children; many beloved grandchildren; and his siblings, all of whom will forever treasure his love. Joe dedicated 25 years of service to the Arizona Department of Corrections before retiring. In retirement, he enjoyed splitting his time between Kearny and what he proudly called “God’s Country” in Springerville, Arizona. He found his greatest peace in the outdoors, where he loved fishing, hunting, and butchering. Whether spending time in the mountains or around the dinner table, Joe was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. A passionate sports fan, Joe faithfully cheered on the Kansas City Chiefs and the University of Arizona Wildcats. He also loved cooking for those he cared about, creating meals that brought family together and made lasting memories. Joe will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love of the outdoors, his generous heart, and his deep devotion to his family. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the memories that will be cherished for generations.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
