On Thursday, December 24, 2020, Joseph Anthony "Tony" Manzo Sr., beloved husband, dad, brother, uncle, and tata, joined his heavenly family.  He is preceded in death by his parents Francisco L. Manzo and Theresa E. Dyck, as well as his brother Francisco E. Manzo and sisters Theresa Rose Manzo and Margaret A. Fernandez.

Tony was born and raised in Ajo, Arizona, and moved to Hayden, Arizona, in the late 1960s.  He began his career at the Asarco Hayden Plant in 1970 and retired in 2002.  Tony returned to work at the ARC in Kearny, Arizona, for 12 years.

Tony was indeed one of a kind.  He had a heart of gold, an amazing smile, a contagious laugh, and the ability to make anyone feel welcomed. He was the best storyteller, never met a stranger, generous beyond measure, and an extremely hard worker. His passion for flying was passed on to him by his dad.  He learned to fly a Cessna 150 and 1965 Mooney M20E.  His dad also passed on his love for Snoopy, which echoed down to Tony's kids and grandkids.  Tony's favorite holiday was Christmas, and he will forever be known by "the house with all the lights at Christmas" time.  He loved making and sharing his famous salsa and always made food for those he loved.  Tony enjoyed gardening and nights out on his patio listening to music.

Tony will be immeasurably missed by his wife, Carla, of 20 years.  His legacy will be continued by his five daughters Debbie Manzo, Amanda Holcomb (Randy), Amy (Lamar) Hunter, Susie (Tara) Alonzo, and Ariane (Andrew) Brobst, two sons Joseph Anthony "Tony" Manzo Jr. (Autumn) and Dustin (Melissa) Clubb, his two sisters Mary Ann (Ken) Molnar, Theresa J. Manzo, 15 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces.
