Julian Marcelino "Ticho'' Perez, 80, died Sunday July 2, 2023 at his Dudleyville, AZ home with his family by his side. He was born on January 28, 1943 at the Renteria ranch in Dudleyville to Angelita and Julian Marcelino Perez Sr. Ticho enlisted in the United States Army and served from 1964 to 1966. He served those two years in Germany and was awarded the Markman (Rifle) National Defense Medal. After the service, Ticho began his career as a diesel mechanic at Asarco. He met the love of his life, Tina, and they married on July 5th, 1969 in Mammoth, AZ. They moved to Dudleyville to start their family and in 1970 they welcomed their first child, Julian (Tony), and their second child, Lillian, in 1974. He worked for Asarco for 38 years and retired in 2000.

Ticho enjoyed hunting, rooster fighting, fishing, gardening, going to the casino, and throwing back a few cold ones with his family and friends. Most importantly, he loved being a tata to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be remembered for his spicy chilies, fireball shooters, and stubbornness. He lived everyday up until his last day for his family.

Ticho is survived by his wife of 54 years Tina, two children Tony (Maribel) and Lillian (Robert), five grandchildren Angelica, Marlisse (Benjamin), Aliyana (Aaron), Elissa, Sarrah, three great-grandchildren Dominique, Khaleesi, Edward Jr., three brothers and two sisters Freddie, Mary, Gildo, Isabel, Irene, and Arnold. As well as many nieces, nephews, and his bonus Sanchez grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Francisco, and grandchild Robert Jr.
