Katherine "Katie" Stevens-Lomayesva was born on October 21, 1937, to Jess J. Stevens and Virginia Leah Sundust-Stevens entered into rest on February 13, 2023, at the age of 85. Katie worked 40 years as a License Practical Nurse for the Indian Health Services and 11 years at the San Carlos High School as a School Nurse. She was active in her arts and crafts including bead working, ceramics, sewing, floral arrangements for families and taking part in the annual St. Charles Bazaar.

Katie's survivors include her children: Veronica Stevens, Valerie Hill, Kateri (Richard) Ramos, Nadine (David) Reede, Michael Hill, and Sophia (Tolbert) Massey and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Brother: Lee (Carolyn) Stevens, Sister: Erma Beaver, and Charles (Berlinda) Stevens and numerous nieces and nephews.
