Lorenzo Oton Velasquez, 83, of Superior, passed away peacefully in his home on April 16, 2021. Lorenzo was born February 27, 1938 in Douglas, Arizona to parents Mercedes Oton and Lorenzo Velasquez. He was the oldest of 3 children. He served 4 years in the United States NAVY from 1956-1960.

Lorenzo was a very hardworking, dedicated family man. Lorenzo worked all his life in many different trades.

Lorenzo is preceded in death by his mother, father, and all 4 biological children, Christina McCord, Lorenzo Velasquez, Patricia Velasquez, and Victor Velasquez, and great grandchildren, Lorenzo and Brooklyn Velasquez.

Lorenzo is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sally Velasquez, his adopted children Christopher, Gabriel, Vincent, and Amber Velasquez, and his brother Gabriel Velasquez, and sister Julia Lane, as well as his remaining grandchildren, Jennifer Sosh, Janelle Sosh, Jonathon McCord, Leticia Newton, Joshua Velasquez, Justin Velasquez, numerous great grandchildren and family members.

There isn't anything Lorenzo wouldn't do for any of his family or friends. Lorenzo was the most kindhearted, giving man, with nothing but good to offer. He will be sorely missed, but we wish him love, peace, and happiness with his children and great grandchildren.
