Louis "Louie" E. Valdez,77 of Hayden, AZ, passed to eternal rest on September 5,2023.  Louie was born on June 23,1946 to Pedro and Mercedes Valdez. He grew up in Winkelman up to the 5th grade, when the family relocated to Tucson.  Louie then grew up on the golf course, he began to caddy at age 11 at El Rio Golf Course, and this is where his love of golf began.

At age 15, Louie moved back to the Hayden-Winkelman area and attended Hayden High School. He graduated in 1966. Louie then proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War. Louie married, had children and worked at Kennecott/ASARCO for 37 years and was a member of the United Steel Workers Union.

Louie loved golf, the Cowboys, Dodgers and watching his grandchildren play sports.

Louie was preceeded in death by his parents Pedro and Mercedes. Brothers, Peter, Daniel, Juan, Phillip and sister Mary. Louie is survived by the love of his life, Polly; Children, Paulina, Louie Jr (Regina) and RoseAnne; Grandchildren, Alex, Justeen, Bryan, Aiyana, Paul, Tyannah, Jacob and Ariana; Great granddaughters Amaiya and Alexiana. Brothers, Randy, Ray, Delbert(Rosie), Henry, Freddy, Lonnie, Tony, Blas(Gloria) and sister Suzie. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Louie loved his family, friends and community. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten by all who knew and loved him.

Burial will take place at a later date.
