Louise Gillock, Born 9/11/1929 in Globe, Arizona.  Daughter of Louis Belmont and Mary Hargett Belmont.

She is preceded in death by her father Louis, and her mother Mary, three husbands, Edward Padgett, Andy Kayona, and her husband of over 50 years Melvin Gillock, her son Frank Padgett, and her sisters Donnie and Petie.

Louise leaves behind her brother Frank Belmont of Camp Verde.  Sons, Sam Padgett, Douglas Gillock (Virginia), Todd Gillock (Margaret), daughters Kathryn Fansler, Suzanne Sawyer (Mike), Frances Kayona, Diana Baugher (Todd), Teresa Sandoval (Toby).  Eighteen grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.  Many people called her mom.  She had a rough life.  Her father died when she was nine years old in a car accident.  Her mother was not financially able to take care of four children. So, mom and her two sisters were farmed out to different family members to live with.  She took care of babies and cleaned the homes of the relatives she lived with for room and board and went to school.  At 14, she quit school.  In the 50's mom was a waitress, she worked at Blackies (Drift Inn Saloon) as a cook, then they lived at the regal mine and mom worked as a waitress at the Seneca truck stop, she was also a waitress at the Canyon Inn at the bottom of Salt River Canyon. Then had to go to Saugus, California, where she worked as a waitress.  Also worked in the kitchen of Gila General Hospital while raising kids.  She was tough and sometimes downright mean.

She met Jesus Christ our Lord around 1950, Mom became a lifelong student and teacher of the bible.  She loved the bible and teaching it.  She loved the Lord, and she wanted everyone to know her best friend.

Mom taught us to stick up for ourselves, taught us how to cook and take care of the home. And the most important thing, she taught us to pray and read the bible and seek God, trust in God.  And I want you to know that she prayed daily for all her family.  For your protection and guidance in this life.  Sometimes she had to learn the hard way to let go and let go and let God have His way.  Living is a lifelong process.  Sometimes we make it hard by our choices.  But the goodness of God turns wild weeds into beautiful flowers, which means mom's life was.  She was wild and mean.  But God changed her life.
