Maria Dolores "Dee" Ramirez Amado

With hearts full of gratitude and sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved mother Maria Dolores (Dee) Ramirez Amado on Sunday October 4th 2026 at the age of 90.

Dolores is preceded in death by her parents Ramon and Elena (Helen) Ramirez and Frank T. Amado her husband of 39 years. She is survived by her sister Dora (Fred)Lagunas, her children Lillian Yslas, Bernice (Rolando) Gonzalez, and Teena Yslas, her grandchildren Ramon Javier (RJ) Yslas, Shina Dee Sepulveda, Antonio Sepulveda, and Marquis Daniel Yslas, great grandchildren Tatyana, Ariana, Anayse, AJ, Adia, Maddie, Gemma, Emerson, Marcellus and Nicholas. Tia Dee to nieces Connie Lagunas, Helene (Frank) Lopez, and to the extended Amado families who welcomed her and her kids into their mix.

Dolores was born February 10th 1936 in Winkelman Arizona. Graduated from Hayden High School in 1954. She worked various positions until she retired from Central Arizona community college.

Dolores built a life defined by independence and a strong devotion to her family and community. Toward the end of her life she enjoyed simple pleasures a good tv murder mystery, hitting a jackpot at the casino, enjoying sweet treats and spending time with those who would stop in for a visit.

Her love, kindness, and dedication to those around her touched many lives and will be remembered by all who knew her.

We will be forever grateful to the community who watched over her to make sure she was able to stay in her home until 6 months before her passing. A special thanks and gratitude for THEMA hospice who watched over her care.
