Maria "Mary" L Mejia age 75, passed away on January 27, 2026, at her home in Globe.  Mary was born December 22, 1950, at Miami Inspiration Hospital to Pablo T Licano and Frances Cota Licano.

Mary attended Miami Schools graduating from Miami High School in 1968.  After High School she attended Rose-Mar Beauty College.

She worked at Dave's his & hers Salon in downtown Miami, she spent 6 years at WIC for the Gila County Health Department and was a Floor Manager for The Apache Gold Casino for 20 years.  She was loved and respected by the Globe Miami and San Carlos communities

Mary was a devout Catholic and a dedicated member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Miami, she was a member of the Spanish Choir and volunteered to help with funerals and other events at the church.

She enjoyed karaoke "Karaoke Queen", dancing and Halloween. She was a great cook and mastered our Nanna Pancha's recipes.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Pablo T and Frances Licano, son Joseph Gabriel Mejia, brothers Raymond, Paul and Ruben Licano and sister Lupe Badilla.

She is survived by her children Cynthia A. Mejia and Christopher G. Mejia, brothers Manuel, Robert and Tony Licano, sisters Carmen Ericksen and Rosie Bitar, 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Mary will be missed by all that knew her.
