Mary Lou Hunsaker passed away quietly Sunday morning, March 3rd, at the age of 98.  She was at home surrounded by attentive and loving family.

Mary was born in Palo Pinto, Texas on May 11, 1921 to Richard and Wilma Dalton. She was the oldest of five siblings. All of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Verner Coppin (1942) and her second husband Rollo Hunsaker (1990). She was preceded by a daughter, Mary and a grandson, Michael.

About 1959 Grandpa went to work in Ray at the Kennecott copper mine, leaving Granny there with the six children to work the farm, of course he came home to help on weekends. They moved the whole family to Ray in 1961. When Kennecott decided to oust the residents of Ray around 1965, Granny and Grandpa chose to move their house to Bidegain acres.  During this time Granny worked at the company hospital.  She worked there for 8 years.

She lost grandpa on Dec 28,1990. They were married for 47 years.

In 1999 Granny moved into the basement of Virgil and Peggy's house. She lived there for about 20 years.

Mary Lou volunteered her time and talents with many organizations.  Granny volunteered her time and talents as a cook at church girl's camp for multiple years, also as a cook at the 4-H camp. MShe did a lot of 4-H work from project leader to community leader to judge of cooking exhibits. She served in many church callings at both ward and stake levels. Granny taught English to several people enrolled in the community ESL Project. She also fostered many young children in her home. Some of her hobbies were working with ceramics, embroidery and reading.

Her greatest joy was watching her grand children or great grand children participate in sporting events or musical presentations. Granny was always eager to participate in anything that came along. She loved to travel the country and visit her extended family. Oh, how she loved her family. She loved visiting with friends and loved ones.

Mary is survived by Art (Sharron), Richard (Irean), Kay, Peggy (Virgil), Betty (Larry). Granny had 22 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren with one in the oven (as Granny would say) and 14 great grandchildren with one in the oven.
