Mary Terese Zapata, known to many as "Terry" and Nina to all her nieces and nephews, passed away peacefully at home in Superior, AZ on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones.  Terry was born in Safford, AZ on October 3, 1943 to parents Vicente and Emilia (Ortiz) Zapata.

Terry was a beautiful, loving, caring and compassionate Sister, Sister-In-Law, Nina and to everyone she met, was a friend to all.  She loved life, always had a beautiful smile and hug when she greeted you, had a huge heart and would help anyone who needed it.  She was always concerned about others more than herself, even in her final days always asking how everyone was doing.

Terry worked 30+ years for Phelps Dodge, retired from Freeport McMoRan  (Miami, AZ), Sturgeon Electric (Globe, AZ) and Sturgeon Electric (Henderson, NV).

Terry is preceded in death by her parents Vicente and Emilia Zapata, Brother Joe Arthur Zapata, Sister Rosie Reynolds, Nephews Bobby Martinez and Neil Roberts.  She is survived by Sister Betty Lamb (Rod), Olga Martinez (George) and many loving nieces and nephews.

We love you Dear Sister and Nina you will be greatly missed by your family, friends and all who knew you.  Thank you for all the "Unconditional Love and Memories" you gave us, we will forever hold you in our hearts.  Rest in Peace Our Beautiful Guardian Angel, until we meet again.

Per Terry's request there will be no public services.  Her last wishes were to be cremated and laid to rest with her Mother and Father.
