Mauro Garcia Parra passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 in Tucson, Arizona. Mauro was born to Martin and Ignacia Parra on September 17, 1954 in Rancho Veracruz, Sonora, Mexico.

Mauro came at the age of 16 to Aravaipa to work in the mining industry. He had a passion from riding and caring for horses. In 1983, he met his wife Elizabeth and her 4 children where they continued to raise a have a child of their own. He loved spending time with his family and friends being outdoors cooking, singing and bringing joy to others everyone that knew him loved being around him because of his sense of humor.

Mauro is preceded in death by his mother and father Martin and Ignacia Parra, brothers Manuel, Charlie and Ernesto Parra and his sister Dolores Parra.

Mauro is survived by his wife Elizabeth Parra, daughters Lisette (Yisel and Yareli) Parra, Barbara (Sam) Martinez; sons Joseph Soqui, Alfonso (Theresa) Soqui, John Soqui fostered Omar Casado and Yuszmi Casado. He also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; siseters Maria Parra, Ofelia Parra, Cruz Zuluaga, Adelaida (Adan) Aguilar, and Sandra (Enrique) Medina.
