Melissa Ann Perez, a beloved School Bus driver for the Superior Unified School District, unexpectedly went home on the evening of August 23, 2022 at the age of 52.  Melissa was born in Globe, AZ on July 27, 1970 to Thomas and Yolanda Navarro. She was a lifelong resident of Superior.  She worked as a school bus driver for 25 years and well as in the Superior Schools Food Service Department for 20 years.

Melissa was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She loved to be with family spending time camping and taking vacation trips.  She loved giving back to the community and couching Superior's youth for 25+ years. Her selflessness and love is what made her who she was, always putting others before herself. For her children; there wasn't anything she wouldn't do. Her grandchildren affectionately referred to her as "Nani" and they were her whole world.

Melissa touched the lives of so many, and for this she will always reside in our hearts. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten. The world is a better place for having Melissa in it, and she cared/loved like no other. We love you Melissa and may you rest with the Angels in Heaven.

Melissa is survived by her husband of 30 years, Johnny R. Perez, Her son Manuel Perez and grandson Diego Perez; her daughter Janae Perez and granddaughters Jocselyn and Julique Granillo; her daughter Janessa Perez and her grandson Papas Perez; her daughter Jalyn Perez; her mother Yolanda Navarro; John (Melissa) Navarro and family; Her sister Vivian (Eric) Duarte and Family.
