Mercedes "Mercy" H. Hernandez, 93, departed this life July 2, 2023 at her home in Mesa, AZ. Mercy was born on September 24, 1929 in Miami Arizona to Pedro and Beatrice (Carrillo) Hernandez. Mercy married Raymond (Ramon) Hernandez on October 4, 1954. Together they raised 4 children: Sylvia, Richard, Robert, and Raymond and remained together until his passing on November 27, 1987.

Mercy worked as an aide, homemaker, and was and employee at Motorola, Inc. She also served as a volunteer at the senior center in Mesa, AZ. She enjoyed her family, church, fellowship, arts and crafts, cooking, baking, and shopping.

Mercy will be forever remembered for her devotion to the Lord, the Catholic Church and her family. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Mercy is preceded in death by her husband Raymond, her sister Sylvia, and two brothers Alberto and Johnny.

Mercy leaves behind, in loving memory, her 4 children Sylvia (Martin), Richard (Arlene), Robert (Lynn), and Raymond (Mina); 3 sisters Lena, Martha, and Irene and brother Tudy. She also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Mercedes, may god be with you and welcome you to heaven. We love you and will miss you so much. Rest in Peace dear Mercy, you will forever be in our hearts.
