Michael J Ybarra, age 69, was called home to our heavenly father on December 11, 2022. He passed away peacefully in his home with his family in Superior, AZ. Michael was born in Miami, AZ on December 20, 1952 to Leo and Belia Ybarra.

Michael was raised in Superior up till the age of 9. As a young boy he moved to Miami, AZ with his grandparents Tata Mike and Nana Grace Rivera. His grandparents and Rivera family welcomed him with open arms and gave him the unconditional love that he needed.  He graduated from Superior High School and was proud to have lived his life there. In 1970, he met the love of his life, Maria, and they were married June 1974. They had three beautiful daughters, Melissa, Monica, and Michelle.  Michael loved and adored his wife, daughters and grandchildren.

Michael spent almost 40 years working the copper mines, construction, and street maintenance around the Superior-Globe area. He was an extremely dedicated hard worker with a good work ethic. When Michael was not working, he was doing what he loved the most, spending time with his family, his grandchildren, friends, camping, fishing or riding his horses. He had a great love and passion for his horses.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 48-years Maria Ybarra: daughters Melissa Madrid (Charles), Monica Ybarra (Louis) and Michelle Ybarra(Ryan): 8 grandchildren, Michael's pride and joy, Andrew Martinez, Adam Martinez, Gabriel Mendez;  Louis Ruesing;  Michael Martinez, Joshua Orona, Kamyrn and Matthew Vidal; His brother Leo (Melinda) Ybarra; sisters Patsy (Doug) Cunningham, Mary Helen Ybarra and Belia Ybarra Sapien and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who he loved dearly.

Michael was preceeded in death by his parents Leo and Belia and brother Johnny Ybarra.

Michael was loved dearly as a Husband, Father, Tata, Brother, Uncle, Cousin and Friend. His loyalty and unconditional love will be greatly missed by many.  This is where the "Cowboy Rides Away!"
