Mike Urquijo was born February 27 ^th , 1938 in Superior, AZ. Mike passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday July 27th 2022. He joined the navy in 1955, Served Several tours in Vietnam as part of the brown water fleet assigned near Can Tho. Mike retired in 1979 from the Navy, came home to Superior and merried Rosie Sanchez and started a family and was blessed with four Sons. He began working in the mining industry as a boilermaker for 19yrs. After retiring from the mine, he began working for Immigration and U.S. Customs in Florence, AZ where he worked for 16yrs. He is preceded in death by Jose and Maria Urquijo, his sister Inez Ruiz, and brother Joe Coty Urquijo. He is survived by his wife Rosie, sister Ofelia Urquijo, four sons, Michael (Cecilia), Jonathan (Judith), René (Stephanie) Jesse Urquijo, and his Ten grandchildren. Services will be held at Saint francis of assisi Church in Superior, AZ. August 5th, 2022 @ 10am.
