Ray C. Rodriguez

Ray C. Rodriguez, 82 years old passed away on August 7, 2020 at CVCH.  He was the husband of Margaret C. Rodriguez.  They shared 62 years of marriage together.

Ray was born on January 20, 1939 in Globe, AZ.  He was the youngest son to Clara and Alex Rodriguez, and brother to Fred Rodriguez, of California. Ray attended Globe High School, with a passion for all sports; especially football. He played Varsity football since he was a Freshman and was considered an outstanding athlete.  Ray graduated from Globe High School in 1956.  He was awarded a scholarship to Northern Arizona University and Palo Verde College in Blythe, California where he attended for a year.  Ray married his high school sweetheart, Margaret C. Gavin.  The couple moved to Los Angeles, California where they started a family and after four years moved back to Globe, Arizona.

Ray was a lifetime resident and copper miner at Inspiration Consolidated Copper Mine and BHP Pinto Valley Essex Plant as a control operator, where he retired after 30 years.

He is survived by his wife Margaret C. Rodriguez, his three (3) daughters, Virginia M. Avalos, Lisa J. Rodriguez and Vicki E. Rodriguez.  Ray had seven (7) grandchildren and four (4) great-grandchildren. He preceded in death by his mother, Clara Rodriguez and father, Alex Rodriguez.
