On Thursday December 2, 2021, Robert G. Castaneda, age 90, went to be with the Lord. Robert was born in Miami, AZ on July 16, 1931.
He will be greatly missed by his children, Christine ( Hubert) Grigg, Mike (Vicky) Castaneda, Rosemary (Don) Horlacher, Charlie Castaneda, Tom (Roseann) Castaneda and girlfriend, Lola Groenert.
He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and his many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years Betty Castaneda, sons Robert Castaneda Jr. (aka Rocky) and Alan Castaneda-Lundy, his parents and 5 sisters.
He worked 36 years at Miami Inspiration/Cobre Valley hospital.
He was the proud owner/operator of El Matador Pest Control from 1976 until he retired in 2020. He considered his customers as friends and even after retirement kept in touch with them.
Robert was the first Mexican American Exalter Ruler at BPOElks 1410 of Miami where he served 3 consecutive terms.
His friendly smile and conversations will be missed by his family and many friends .
