Robert Bruce Rutlede (Bob) went with our lord Jesus Christ February 6th, 2026, at the age of 64. He leaves behind his wife of 46 years Josie (Sanchez)Rutledge and two daughters Emilia Rutledge (Justin Warren) and Adriean Rutledge (Danny Quesada) along with two grandchildren Tyler Warren (Taylor Howerton) and Gabby Evans and his soon to arrive Great Grandson Nathan Warren.  Robert was loved by his two sisters Jeri Marquez and Patricia Nock and many nephews and nieces. Robert had many friends that he loved and considered family.

Born in McNary Arizona to Wanda Petty and Jerry Bruce Rutledge and grew up alongside his grandma and Grandpa Ester and Bob Yocum, who he loved so much. In Roberts' middle school years, he resided in Dripping Springs where he attended Hayden School District playing football and wrestling before enlisting into the US Army. Robert ranked Seargent as an Airborne Combat Engineer and fought in the Iraq Desert Storm War and retiring in 1991.

His love and passion for classic cars and mechanics became his career and how he met all that knew him teaching them along the way. Robert had many talents, hobbies, and passions: drag car and Nascar racing, building rockets and model cars/airplanes, music (harmonica and guitar), flying model airplanes and drones, drawing and etch a sketch, (his abstract drawings were of no other), Xbox Call of Duty and racing games, but his number one thing was reading his bible, Robert was a devoted Christian following the word of the lord.

After a lifetime of traveling around the world Robert settled in Kearny with his wife, retired while always helping others in need with their vehicle problems with his honest and expertise knowledge of cars. "Best Damn Mechanic Ever"! Robert's kindness, wisdom, and witty humor will be forever in our hearts and memories. We invite all loved ones that Robert loved to a celebration of life memorial March 1st 2026 11:00am at the Kearny Elks Lodge where he will be honored with a military 21-gun salute along with a luncheon as we share memories in love of his life.
