Steven Charles Lopez was born in Superior, Arizona on September 11, 1949. He is the fourth child of

Camerino and Mercedes "Moreno" Lopez. Steve's older siblings include Hector "Sandra" Lopez,

Geraldine "Gerry" Gonzalez, Camerino "Judith" Lopez Jr. and his beloved baby sister Christine "Punkin"

Lopez.

Steve married his high school sweetheart, Rebecca "Becky" Jo Tellez on August 2, 1969. They had three

children, Michael Lopez, Stephanie "Brandon" Tomerlin, and Krista Lopez. Steve was blessed with seven

grandchildren; Marky, Stephan, Brandon Jr., Matthew, Sebastian, Preston, and Rebecca.

Steve starting working for the mine in Miami, AZ. at the age of 19 and continued till he retired after 35

years. Steve was dedicated to his family and community. He loved doing many things for his church of

St. Frances of Assisi, his town of Superior, Superior Schools where he, his wife, family, and kids all

attended, and any other event to support all whether it was cooking, donating, or helping out. Steve

loved to attend and support any and all of his grandchildren's sporting events. He became a staple to

the families he met at those games and was immediately loved by them as one of their own family

members as many called him Tata Steve. He will be remembered for his Christmas lights and

decorations, his amazing food, and love and support he had for many.

Steve left our Earth on Tuesday, November 21 st at 10:30 am after a long battle with health issues that he

finally succumbed to. Steve joins his beloved wife Becky Jo, youngest daughter Krista, oldest grandson

Marky, his parents Camerino and Mercedes, and baby sister Punkin. He will be laid to rest on Saturday,

December 2, 2023 at Fairview Cemetery in Superior after his services at St. Frances of Assisi with a

viewing at 9am, Rosary at 9:30am, Catholic Mass 10am with Funeral Procession to follow.

He will forever be loved and missed by all who were Blessed to know him.
