Velma Delores Wright Smith, age 89, passed away at her home October 18, 2020.  Velma was born December 20, 1930 to Oscar V. and Mary Jane Baker in Bloomington, Indiana.  Velma is preceeded in death by her first husband, Alden Wright, son, Randy Wright, and daughter, Sharon Wright Bassett, her brothers, Curtis Baker and Vernon Baker, and sisters, Freida Baker and Katherine Baker.

Velma leaves behind her husband, Ben Smith, of Globe, two brothers, Wayne Baker (Jane) and Ron Baker (Mary) both of Globe, son, Larry Wright, Sr. of Flagstaff, four granddaughters Tammy, Shauna, Susan and Laurie, two grandsons Larry Jr. and Randy Jr., 16 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

Velma loved her family very much and enjoyed music, singing, writing poetry, bowling and the outdoors.

The family will have a private memorial service.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any hospice organization in Velma's name.
