Wes Sukosky, age 57, of Globe, Arizona, passed away at Honor Health in Scottsdale,

Arizona, on Sunday, December 29, 2024, with his family by his side. He was born in

Prescott, Arizona, on December 1, 1967, to John and Sharon Sukosky. He grew up in

Miami, Arizona, with his family. He attended school in the Miami Unified School District,

where he graduated in 1985.

Upon graduation, Wes relocated to Mesa, Arizona, where he worked for Port A Stall. He

returned to Globe, Arizona in 1988, where he began his career as a heavy-duty

mechanic for Cyprus Miami and later Phelps Dodge. He married his wife, Isabel on

February 18, 1985, at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Miami,

Arizona. Wes and Isabel began their married life in their current home in Globe,

Arizona. Together they raised two sons: Jonathan and Jacob. Wes changed careers in

2003 when he returned to school and became a certified Home Inspector. He was the

owner and operator of his own home-inspecting business, Westech Inspection Services

for 21 years. During that time, Wes also worked for the Town of Miami as Public Works

Director until he decided to focus primarily on building his business. Later, he took on a

part-time job with Globe Unified School district where he was able to pursue his passion

for baseball managing the baseball field and coaching Tiger baseball. He was awarded

Field of the Year in 3A South Central for four consecutive years.

Wes loved his community. He became active with Pinal Mountain Little League in the

early 2000s as a volunteer coach then Equipment manager and later as President.

During his time at PMLL, Wes was highly active in the reconstruction of the baseball

and softball fields. He used his knowledge of growing grass to maintain lush green fields

for the youth of the community to play on. Pinal Mountain Little League hosted multiple

All-Star tournaments during his leadership because of the outstanding facility that he

managed.

Baseball was Wes's passion. He shared this passion with not only his sons but with the

young men that he has coached throughout the years. He served as an assistant coach

and later as head coach for Tiger Baseball. He loved coaching Globe High School

baseball, and he loved his players. His players equally loved him, it was common for his

players to randomly stop by to visit or give him a call.

Wes was preceded in death by his sister Sherice Sukosky; his dad John Sukosky; his

paternal grandparents Ida and Michael Sukosky; his maternal grandparents Garnett and

Margery Sipes, and his father-in-law Laido Rodriguez.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Isabel Sukosky; his sons, Jonathan Sukosky and

Jacob Sukosky (Giselle Peru); his grandson Jacob Sukosky Jr., a grandchild expected

in July; his mother Sharon Sukosky; his brothers, Wyatt Sukosky and Jason Sukosky;

his sisters, Lynn Heimer (Keith) and LeAnn Sukosky, five nieces and nephews, one

great niece; his mother-in-law, Maria Rodriguez; and his brother-in-law, Laido Rodriguez

(Diana).

Services are entrusted to Bulman Miles Funeral Services in Globe, Arizona.
