On March 21, 2026, our beloved father, William "Bill" Jay Newman, passed on to his next journey.

Bill proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a SEAL and bravely fought in the Vietnam War. After his service, he built a life centered on family, hard work, and community. He married his wife, Joanna Newman, on August 6, 1990, and made his home in Globe/Miami/Claypool, Arizona.

Bill was well known in Gila County as the friendly Milk Man for Shamrock Farms, a role he held for 18 years. He was deeply involved in his community—an active member of the VFW, a volunteer with the Sheriff's Posse, and part of Search and Rescue. He also shared his knowledge by teaching youth hunter safety courses and later spent time umpiring local youth sports and attending school games

.He found his greatest joy in the outdoors—hunting, fishing, and camping—and in spending time with his children and grandchildren. Bill never missed an opportunity to show up for the people he loved.

He is survived by his 2nd wife, Joanna Newman; his children, Michael Newman (Brandy), Christopher Parker (Dustee), David Parker, and Danielle Newman Rubin (David); along with many bonus children he helped raise and guide. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved deeply.

Bill was preceded in death by his son, Brian Newman.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held on April 4, 2026, at 11am at VFW Post 1704, 707 S. Broad Street, Globe Doors open at 1030am.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his honor to VFW Post 1704, 707 S. Broad Street, Globe, AZ 85501.
