Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Wilma Jean Adams from Kearny, Arizona, slipped into Glory on February 5, 2026.  She was born on February 6, 1936, and spent her childhood in Tennessee. In her late teens, she met the love of her life, Franklin Adams. They were married three days later. The happy couple moved to Illinois, where they raised three amazing young men.

Wilma spent her life spreading the word of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She began her Evangelical ministry early on in her life. In addition to teaching Sunday School and preaching sermons throughout Southern Arizona, she pastored the Church of God in Eloy, Arizona, for a short time in the early eighties.

Wilma had a great love of music. Being self-taught on the piano and the guitar. She was gifted with a beautiful voice and used her musical talents for God's Ministry.

Wilma's need to spread the word of God touched every part of her life. She became a certified nursing assistant and requested to work with hospice patients.  Her deep-rooted faith helped her provide much-needed end-of-life care to patients, and she showed love and support to their families.

The only thing Wilma loved as much as her Heavenly family was her earthly family.  The love she had for her family was pure and fierce. Her family was not just those related to her by blood. Any extension of her immediate family was family, and she was loved by all who knew her.  Her family had the honor of surprising her with an early 90th birthday party on January 30, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lena and Paul McDonald; her brothers, Donnie, Howard, Kenneth, and Bud McDonald; her sister, Dean Webb; and her two older sons, Gary White and Terry Adams.

Wilma is survived by her sisters Reba Lovette, Ann Ester;  her husband of over 70 years, Franklin Adams Sr; son, Franklin Adams Jr; daughters in law Cathy Adams, and Joyce White; adopted by love daughters  Dedee Seevers, Sherry Edgerly;  Grandchildren Gary and Danny White, Annie and Albert Martinez, Terry and Amber Adams, Gina Medina & Bret Snelgrove, Alicia and Shawn Ritchie, Charlie Ochoa-Edgerly; and many, many great grandchildren.

If she could, her family is sure she would tell us all to remember 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-14, "But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep."
