Zola Gamble Hall

August 27, 1930 – October 24, 2025

Zola Gamble Hall of Kearny, Arizona, passed away peacefully in Queen Creek, Arizona, on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the age of 95. She was born in Mesa, Arizona, on August 27, 1930, to Ordway Allison and Ruth Elizabeth Gamble.

Zola attended Chandler High School, where she was an accomplished tennis player. When her father purchased the PZ Ranch, the family moved, and she transferred to Hayden High School, graduating in 1948. That same year, she met and married the love of her life, Thomas R. Hall, in August 1948. Together they welcomed their daughter, Andrea, in November 1949.

The couple made their home in Hayden, where Tom worked for Asarco in the smelter. When Asarco announced that the homes in Hayden would no longer be available, they relocated to Kearny in 1967, where Zola lived for the remainder of her life.

Throughout her years in both Hayden and Kearny, Zola dedicated herself to her community. She volunteered in countless ways and was especially known for her compassion and service to others. A lifelong homemaker and community leader, she served 28 years on the Ray School Board, was active in the Copper Basin Community Health Foundation, and held many positions within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Zola played a key role in bringing the new Cobre Valley Clinic to Kearny through her work with the Copper Basin Community Health Foundation. One of her proudest moments came when she attended the clinic's grand opening and cut the ribbon.

Zola is survived by her daughter, Andrea Graves; grandchildren Gordon Graves (Traci), Elizabeth Mink, and Thomas Graves; and great-grandchildren Jessica Khamvongsa, Ryann Sanchez (Kevin), Jacob Mink, Courtney Mink, Austin Mink, and Brooke Graves.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ordway Allison and Ruth Elizabeth Gamble; her beloved husband, Thomas R. Hall; her son-in-law, Gordon R. Graves; and her grandson, Matthew Graves.
